While watching their toddlers at play one spring afternoon, Lisa was anticipating the birth of her niece or nephew. Wanting to give this new addition something special and not able to find anything in the stores, Lisa and Carolyn put their heads together and sewing machines to work. After picking out the perfect blue and yellow patchwork fabric, they promptly designed and made bedding for a Moses Basket. Quite pleased with their accomplishment, and encouraged by friends, the basket was shown to a local merchant and baby b was born.

Understanding today’s Mom, Lisa and Carolyn set out to create a line of baby gifts that was classic in design, yet with an emphasis on accessorizing Mom. It needed to be fashionable enough for an afternoon party and functional enough for baby usage. A family of patchwork fabrics that offered a less simplified palette than that associated with conventional baby items answered the question of fashionable. The fabric being 100% cotton, machine washable, durable, and soft completed their fashion function formula.

Today, baby b has a complete line of infant gifts, Moses baskets and specialty clothing and is found in select gift boutiques around the nation. As fashionable as it is functional, baby b is certainly as pleasing to Mom as it is comfortable to baby.
